Students and Counselors will work together to create a comprehensive list of target schools. This will include top-tier dream schools, as well as schools deemed attainable based on grades and test scores, as well as a few safety schools. Each choice will be thoroughly researched to prep college applications.
This extends the “Strategic Activity Planning” included in the basic package to the summer as well. Counselors will help select camps, internships, and volunteering experiences that best align with their narrative and future application. Students will also be supported if these summer activities require applications.
This required course will guide students as they prepare for the written components of their college applications: Common Application, activities list, and supplemental essays. We will also discuss the admission process more broadly. Outside of the specific essays, this course will focus on developing each student’s individual “narrative.” The narrative will not only structure essays, but will also help a student in their interviews and scholarship processes. Past students working with Thetaworks counselors in this class have been admitted to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, UC-Berkley and more. Find more information here.
