From AMC 10 to AIME
This intensive program, instructed by the instructor of IMO Gold Medalist Dr. Lan, is specifically designed for talented students preparing to excel on the AMC 10 and qualify for the AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination). Through targeted instruction, students will master advanced problem-solving techniques, deepen their understanding of key mathematical concepts, and build strategic approaches essential for success in competitive mathematics.
Course Objectives:
Strengthen algebra, geometry, number theory, combinatorics, and probability skills required for AMC 10 and AIME.
Develop advanced problem-solving strategies and critical thinking abilities.
Enhance time management and precision under test conditions.
Build confidence through guided practice and challenging exercises.

Lesson 11: Polynomial Division, Vieta’s Theorem, Polynomial Theorem and Remainder Theorem
Lesson 12: Pythagorean Theorem and Right Triangles/Congruent and Similar Triangles

INSTRUCTOR
Kevin Lan, Ph.D.
Kevin received his Master's degree and Ph.D. in applied mathematics from UCLA. He is an accredited high school math teacher in Thousand Oaks, and a math educator at the Geffen Academy, an independent secondary school associated with UCLA.
He has tutored and coached many dozens of students participating in elementary, middle school, and high school level math competitions, including AMC 8/10/12 and AIME, as well as SAT/ACT math and AP Calculus exams.
